Our Climate
Climate change impacts us all. We hear more and more about it on the television, and see the images in different countries around the world.
But does it make a difference here in Birmingham?
Yes, it does – and we can all do our bit to reduce our use of plastics, be more mindful of our carbon emissions, and increase recycling and reuse of the things we buy and use.
Parents want a better world for their children.
Children are understanding they are inheriting a world of change.
Together, we can take small actions that can, and will, have a big impact. Together, let’s be the change we want to see for our future generations.
It starts with understanding.
Our WASH volunteering, activities, events and training all have one common thread – climate action. Not in a loud ‘shouty’ way but through awareness, care and learning we connect with nature at a deeper level, and appreciate the delicate balance of the habitats, wildlife and plants around us.
Understanding enables change.
We want to protect our wildlife and local biodiversity because connect all the small, local actions and suddenly you have a movement for good that’s actually good for all of us.
We will keep this page updated with useful information and resources that can help you take your own actions to have a positive impact on climate-change at a hyper-local level.
Meanwhile, let’s appreciate some of the important, and beautiful, natural plants and ecosystems that are dependent on how we all respond to the call for climate action…
