Education and Training

We provide a range of courses including basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills. We provide progression routes with accredited courses that provide opportunities for those wanting to take steps into employment or just wanting to improve or enhance their skills and development and confidence.

English language is one of the largest barriers in our community, with many women having very little or no English language proficiency. We have therefore developed an in-house English language programme, starting with absolute beginners and progressing up to pre-GCSE. These courses develop the basic language skills to enable women to move on to formal ESOL courses and training programmes that would have otherwise been inaccessible to them.

Therefore, we have developed a digital inclusion programme, and offer IT courses starting from absolute beginners in our dedicated IT suite, as well as our tablet and laptop loan scheme.
