Wendy Kerr,

Trustee and Chair 

Wendy is a retired Head Teacher, holding a senior management position within Sandwell Education Department.  Wendy brings extensive management skills and expertise to the organisation, including Budget and Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Implementation of Policies and Procedures, Equal opportunities, and Health and Safety. 

John Freeman,

Trustee and Safeguarding Lead

John is a Senior Commissioning Officer for Birmingham City Council.  He is also a local resident and has been involved with the work of Norton Hall for over 30 years.  Professionally he has worked for many years in Children’s Services and as such maintains an up to date knowledge of new policy and practice in child care, play work, family support and commissioning of services.  He is also an experienced trainer/facilitator. 

Iftikar Karim,

Trustee and Secretary

Iftikar is a Senior Manager for ASAN (All Saints Action Network) and has extensive experience of Project development and Management (both capital and revenue projects) including fundraising and business planning. He also has knowledge and experience, at local and national levels, of managing and carrying out stakeholder consulting using questionnaires, focus groups and feeding back conclusions/ findings. Social Accounting & Audit practitioner accredited by the Social Audit Network. Experienced in PQASSO and social return on investment (SROI) and been trained in both frameworks. 

Ghazala Parveen,

Trustee 

Ghazala is a local resident with a professional background working for Birmingham City Council as a Project Manager with Children and Young people.  Ghazala has a real understanding of local community issues, in particular of  the issues that affect local Pakistani Women and people with disabilities and she brings a wealth of skills and knowledge to support our projects at Norton Hall.

Maryam Khan

Maryam is a local councillor for Wash wood Heath ward, she was the youngest councillor to be elected in 2012 at only 21 years of age.  Maryam joined the board to support our work in the local community in particular our work to support the empowerment of local Muslim women and to improve the local environment.
