Volunteering
What will you gain from volunteering at the WASH…
Firstly, we want your time volunteering with the WASH to be safe and enjoyable.
But we also want it to be the gateway for you to learn new skills, access training opportunities and make new connections in the community.
Volunteering has many benefits. It can improve your mental health and wellbeing, gets or keeps you active and is a great way to connect with your local community along with…
- Developing new skills.
- Access work experience.
- Be a route to training and new ‘green jobs’.
- Improving your confidence.
- Feel valued in your community.
We are delighted to collaborate closely with The Friends of Ward End Park on many of our Ward End Park sessions while also having our own trained Outdoor Leaders as we explore and nurture the habitats around Ward End Park and our community growing spaces.
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills and make new friends while supporting the local community. Please provide lots of enthusiasm, and we will provide a light lunch in our Lakeside Cafe as a small thank you.
