Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children,
young people and vulnerable adults

At Norton Hall Children and Family Centre we recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all our service users and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy and our Vulnerable Adults Policy.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our children are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

Our Board members for safeguarding are John Freeman & Ghazalla Parveen, and our cross-organisational designated safeguarding lead is Michelle Howles.

We have worked continuously over the years to develop and embed impact management systems throughout the organisation. As a result, we regularly review and evaluate our service delivery to ensure that we are meeting our organisational objectives and defined outcomes. The difference our work makes to the lives of local women, children and young people is reflected in our annual impact reports.
