Employability support

We provide employability support for women at different stages of their journey to find employment, from those who are far away from the job market to those who are ‘job ready’.

We do this by creating different pathways based on the individual’s needs and aspirations.

These pathways are also linked to our wellbeing and education and training provision, to ensure any gaps in skills, or other barriers to employment are addressed.

Attending the Dolphin Women’s Centre made me realise that I did not have to limit myself. I’m feeling much better & more confident.

We provide:

Employment related training programmes

including, Health & safety, First Aid and Food Hygiene

Support to write a CV and devise an employment Action Plan

Support to identify job opportunities

and access to IT equipment to carry out job searches

Career and Interview coaching

including support on completing job applications and training on interview techniques

Volunteering and Work Experience opportunities

in business administration, customer care, marketing and publicity, childcare, adult education and catering experience in our community cafe

Access to free “smart” clothing

for women attending a job interview, or starting a new job, in collaboration with our partner Smart Works
